William Arthur Ward ( English William Arthur Ward , March 3, 1867 - October 16, 1920 ) is an English chess player . Two-time silver medalist of the championships of Great Britain (1905 and 1908). Four-time champion of the London Chess Club. The England team has a multiple participant in traditional telegraph matches with the US team (total result - 3½ points out of 7 possible: + 2-2 = 3). Member of the international tournament in London (1900). In 1902, he played a match with F. Marshall (2: 4).
