Valentin Aleksandrovich Gorodnichev ( July 7, 1922 - December 30, 2014 ) - Soviet and Russian applied artist who worked for many years at the Dulevo Porcelain Factory , a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, a veteran of World War II, and a participant in the storming of the Reich Chancellery in Berlin .

Biography
Valentin Aleksandrovich Gorodnichev was born in Dulevo. The clan to which it belongs began in Gzhel. His great-grandfather Vasily Mikhailovich Kopeikin had a small porcelain factory in the village of Ignatievo. After the closure of the plant, the family moved to Dulevo. Little Valentine was six years old when his grandmother first brought him to the painting workshop, and in 1937 he entered the Dulevo Porcelain Factory as an apprentice of the artist. [one]
He was drafted into the army in September 1941 and went through the whole war, a participant in the assault on the Reich Chancellery in Berlin [2] . After demobilization in 1949 he returned to his native enterprise, where he worked all his life.

The artist’s works are in the Historical, Russian Museums, the Museum of Ceramics in Kuskovo, the Museum of the Dulevo Porcelain Factory ( Likino-Dulyovo ). The forms and painting of porcelain are well familiar to the mass consumer.
