Graduate of the Nikolskaya secondary school (Orenburg region, Sakmarsky district, village Nikolskoye).
For several decades he served in the Soviet Army. Major General of the tank forces (05/06/1972) [2] . From August 1973 to August 1974, he was First Deputy Commander of the 8th Guards Army in the GSVG .
August 1974 - May 1976 - commander of the 2nd Guards Tank Army .
May 1976 - June 1985 - First Deputy Commander of the troops of the Odessa Military District .
Since 1982 - First Deputy Head of Field Training of the USSR Ministry of Defense.
After retirement - a lecturer at Moscow State University [3] .
