Varvara Nikolayevna Yakovleva (born December 8, 1935 ) is a Yakut Soviet opera singer (lyric and dramatic soprano), teacher, People’s Artist of the RSFSR .

Biography
Varvara (Aya) Nikolaevna Yakovleva was born on December 8, 1935 in the village of Khaptagay of the Megino-Kangalassky district of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1954 she entered the vocal department of the Yakutsk Music School, and then transferred to the Novosibirsk Music School (class A. I. Orlova), which she graduated in 1959.
In 1959–1961 she worked in the Yakutsk Music and Drama Theater , where she grew from a choir artist to a soloist of an opera troupe.
From 1961 she studied at the Ural Conservatory named after M. P. Mussorgsky (class of solo singing of Professor L. F. Drozdova), from which she graduated with honors. In 1973 she was an intern at the conservatory.
In 1966, she returned to the Yakutsk Theater as an opera soloist. The stage images created by her were remembered by the wholeness of the embodiment of the characters of the heroines, who are very feminine in appearance and strong in spirit.
She conducted an active concert activity, her repertoire included more than two hundred songs, romances and arias of Soviet, Russian, Yakut and foreign composers. She was a participant in the cultural program of the USSR permanent exhibition in Leipzig in 1985.
She was the chairman of the jury of competitions, parades of amateur performances of the republic and the city of Yakutsk.
From the 1970s she taught. At the end of her stage career, she finally went to work at the Yakutsk Music School as a teacher of solo singing, and was head of the vocal department.
Currently he is a professor, head of the department of solo singing at the music department of the faculty of performing arts of the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Art .
She was a deputy of the Yakut City Council of Workers' Deputies of the three convocations of 1979, 1982 and 1985.

- Honored Artist of the RSFSR (01/31/1977) [1] .
- People's Artist of the RSFSR (06/21/1982).
- State Prize of the Yakut ASSR. PA Oiunsky for her performance of Madame Butterfly in the opera by G. Puccini "Cio-Cio-San" and concert and performing activities (1974).
