Biography
Since 1939 he studied at the Moscow Institute of History, Philosophy and Literature , graduated from two courses.
In 1941, he volunteered for the front , as part of the Motorized Rifle Brigade, he was a Red Army paratrooper, demolitionist, and deputy political instructor. Since December 1942 he was a litso worker, executive secretary of the Stalin Warrior division newspaper of the 140th Siberian Rifle Division of the 3rd Army . [one]
In 1943 he joined the CPSU (b) .
In 1951 he graduated with honors from the Military-Political Academy. V. I. Lenin ; served in the Far East. Dismissed to the reserve with the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1953, returned to Moscow.
Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (1960), Russian PEN Center.
The article "Legends and Facts" (1966) exposed the myths of Soviet official history.
In 1985 he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree [2] .
He was buried at Vostryakovsky cemetery (site 129) [3] .
