History

The 305th Infantry Division adopted baptism of fire in the Ostrogozh-Rossoshanskoy operation . During it, the 305th SD under the command of Colonel Ivan Antonovich Danilovich liberated the Krasnensky district of the Belgorod region . The offensive began on January 17, 1943.
