Bukowina ( Polish Bukowina ) is a village in Bilgoraj county in the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland . It is part of the commune of Bishch . According to the 2011 census, 979 people lived in the village [1] .

Content
Geography
The village is located in southeastern Poland, within the Sandomierz Lowland , south of the Tanev River, about 19 kilometers south of the town of Bilgoraj , the administrative center of the county. The absolute height is 224 meters above sea level [2] . A regional highway 863 passes through the village.
History
According to the Military Statistical Review of the Russian Empire, in 1847, 1594 people lived in the village of Bukovina. Administratively, the village was part of the Zamostsky district of the Lublin province of the Kingdom of Poland [3] .
In the period from 1975 to 1998, the village was part of the Zamoysky Voivodeship .
