Biography
He graduated from the Sydney Anglican School and the University of Sydney (specialty - architecture). At the amateur level, he played for the Northern Saberbs club in Sydney, and spent his professional career at Super Rugby Uarataz club in 1999-2011. He is the second player in the club’s history to play more than 100 matches (130 games in his assets). He made his first attempt at Super Rugby in the 100th match for the club. In 2005 and 2008, he reached the final of Super12 , and both times Uarataz lost to the Crusaders . He overcame the mark of 100 games for the club in 2010, playing in the Super Rugby Championship against Central Chitaz . He completed his career in 2011, taking up professional activities in the field of architecture.
For the Australian national team, Baxter played 69 games, debuting at the 2003 Balislow Cup against New Zealand , the final match of the Three Nations Cup . As part of the second Australian national team, he toured Japan and also played at the home world championship, having played all matches from the opening match against Argentina to the final against England. September 29, 2007 made the first and only attempt for the Australian national team at the World Cup in France in a game against Canada. The seventh player in the history of the Australian national team, having played more than 50 matches (the 50th was against Canada, where Al brought in an attempt). In total, he has 69 meetings for the national team.
He lives in Sydney with his wife and three children, and holds a post in the leadership of the Uarataz club.
