Walter Bettridge ( born Walter Bettridge ; October 26, 1886 , Oakthorpe , Leicestershire , England - December 23, 1931 ) is a football player, defender who has played for most of his career with London Chelsea .

Career
Bettridge began his career as a football player with Burton United . In 1909 he joined Chelsea. [1] As part of the “blue” he played 254 matches, becoming the finalist of the FA Cup . [2]
In 1922 , at the age of 36, he joined the Gillingham football club, playing in the third division , where he spent one season and then moved to Peterborough and Fletton United .
He died on December 23, 1931 , at the age of 45 years. [3]
