He achieved great success in the game of correspondence. He was the bronze medalist of the 12th USSR Championship (1975-1977). [4] He won the 4th championship of the RSFSR (1972–1973), before that he had won the championships of the RSFSR. [5] In the national team of the RSFSR three times became the winner of the team championships of the USSR. [one]
As a member of the USSR national team, he twice won the European team championships. [2]
In 1977-1993 He was the director of the chess club at the Palace of Sports "Red Hydropress." [6]
