Since Bosnia and Herzegovina was part of Yugoslavia until 1992 , all films produced in the region were credited as those produced in Yugoslavia. Famous screenwriters, filmmakers and cinematographers from Bosnia and Herzegovina: Zlatko Topcic, Khairudin Krvavac , Akhmed Imamovich, Ivica Matich, Ademir Kenovich, Benjamin Filipovich, Jasmine Dizdar, Dino Mustafich, Srjan Buletich and many others, Aida.

History

Cinema in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of Yugoslavia dates back to the 1920s [1] , when the production of silent cinema began . Bosnia and Herzegovina is the birthplace of major film festivals in the Balkans and the largest in southeastern Europe [2] [3] , for example, the Sarajevo Film Festival , held in 1995 during the siege of Sarajevo . The festival was attended by people such as Steve Buscemi , Catherine Cartridge , Bono , Nick Nolte , Michael Moore , Alexander Payne and others. Another famous film festival is the Bosnia and Herzegovina Film Festival, held in 2003 in Tribeca , New York .

One of the most famous Bosnian directors is Danis Tanovich , Yasmila Zbanich and Dino Mustafich, who are directors of the films Nobody’s Land , Grbavitsa and Remake, respectively.
