History
In 1040, Alain III, Duke of Brittany, was poisoned during a trip to Normandy in Wimuthie .
On June 14, 1944, the Allied aircraft subjected Vimutye to a massive bombardment, the city was completely destroyed, most of its inhabitants were killed. In the 50s, 400 residents of the US state of Ohio raised funds to rebuild Wimoutie. In memory of the tragic events of World War II, a monument was erected on the outskirts of the city - the original German tank "Tiger", one of six surviving throughout the world.
