Borozdna, Vasily Petrovich

Vasily Petrovich Borozdna ( 1793 - 1850s ) is a full-time State Counselor , author of the “Description of the Travel of the Russian Embassy to Persia”. Ivan Petrovich and Nikolai Petrovich Borozdna were his younger brothers.

Descended from the old Russian noble family Furrow . Born in the family estate - the village of Medvedovo, Starodubsky district , February 18 ( March 1 ), 1793 in the family of a collegiate councilor, the novozbkovsky marshal of the nobility, Pyotr Ivanovich Borozdny and Ekaterina Grigorievna Kulyabko-Koretskaya. In 1799, according to the customs of that time, he was enrolled in the service - as a clerk in the Starodubsky sub-regional court. From 1802 he was in the service for the Marshal of Novozybkov povet and retired on September 16, 1813, so that a year later, on August 28, 1814, he decided to serve in the College of Foreign Affairs . Here Borozdna was a clerk at the office of the embassy, ​​who left in 1816, led by A. P. Yermolov , to Persia. Furrow brought back from this trip in April 1818. Upon returning to Russia, Borozdna with the rank of collegiate assessor and holder of the Order of St. Anna , 3rd degree and the Persian Order of Leo and Sun , 2nd degree, retired, and later served as a sub- commander of the Novozybkovskiy district . In 1821, he published his travel notes “ A brief description of the journey of the Russian-Imperial Embassy to Persia ” (before that, in 1814, Furthy was known as the author of “The Vision of an Elderly Siberian Priest during the People’s Battle of Leipzig in 1814”).

In 1837, Borozdna re-entered the public service - on January 16 he was appointed to the state loan bank. From May 25, 1840, V. P. Borozdna was an official of special orders of the 7th class under the Ministry of Finance , from September 3, 1843 - Director of the 1st Division of the State Credit Ticket Expedition. From May 25, 1844 - State Councilor. He died in the rank of State Councilor in the 1850s.
