Biography

Fedor Semenovich was born in the family of the Don Cossack. In 1934 he entered the Kiev Artillery Military School . While serving in the city of Fastov , he met his future wife Tamara Senator. Participated in the Soviet-Finnish war . For his courage and heroism he was awarded the medal " For Courage ".

Great Patriotic War

In September 1941, Fyodor Danchenkov was surrounded. With a wound to the thigh, he came to Dubrovka occupied by the Germans, where his cousin Mikhail Buravilin lived. Restoring strength, Danchenkov began to create a partisan detachment and recruit personnel to fight in the deep underground. He sent his people informants to work for the Germans. These were both local authorities and as elders in the villages, as well as in the district council and the police). In the spring of 1942, he led his detachment to the Bocharovsky forest, where a partisan detachment had already been formed - N. U. Borodynkin . In the future, small detachments united in one large, which took the name of the legendary hero - Chapaev. The commander of the united partisan detachment became - Fedor Semenovich.

In October 1942, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the partisan movement K. Ye. Voroshilov , four partisan brigades of the Kletnyansky Forest were created. Captain Danchenkov was appointed to the First Kletnyansky Partisan Brigade.

By the autumn of 1943, the brigade united more than 3,000 partisans [2] .

Over the entire period of hostilities, the First Kletnyansky Partisan Brigade was blown up and destroyed: 125 trains (including 1,665 cars), 86 locomotives, 582 vehicles, 85 motorcycles, 22 aircraft, three guns, five tankettes, one tank, one armored vehicle, four towing vehicles , 233 bicycles, two station facilities, one car repairing plant, one wood-finishing factory, 44 different warehouses, 31 bridges on highways and railways, 38 kilometers of 790 meters of railway rails, 33 kilometers of 800 meters of telephone and telegraph communication. 27 enemy garrisons were defeated. In total, 33,532 enemy soldiers and officers were destroyed.

On July 1, 1943, the general meeting of the party organization of the brigade approved a proposal for a petition before the Western headquarters of the partisan movement to award Danchenkov the title of Hero of the Soviet Union . But in the highest echelons of power, this decision was not approved. There are still no clear answers to the question why this happened.

After the liberation of the Bryansk Territory, the Danchen brigade commander, with most of the partisans, went to the front, where he joined the 324th Verkhne-Dnieper Red Banner Rifle Division of the 50th Army and fought until victory. More than two thousand partisans of the Danchenkov brigade remained in mass graves in the Bryansk region, on the Belorussian front and in East Prussia.

The surviving partisans of the First Kletnyansky Partisan Brigade on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Victory asked the President of the country to assign their rank of Hero of Russia to their brigade commander.

Postwar life

After the war, F. S. Danchenkov served in the Group of Soviet Forces in the GDR . He often traveled to places of military glory, organized post-war meetings of partisans, every five years, starting in 1958, when they were first collected by a partisan movement researcher in the Bryansk region, a history teacher, a great-niece of F.M. Dostoevsky Elena Alekseevna Ivanova.

From the notes of F. S. Danchenkov
I reread the letters of the partisans with deep emotion, almost in every familiar impatience. We look forward to counting the days when there will be an opportunity to meet again, to return to the battle youth. Schoolchildren also write - pioneers, Komsomol members, red rangers from the Bryansk region. For them, the constant participants of our meetings, our every visit is like a holiday. And, I think, this is a full profound meaning, a very effective lesson in courage, patriotism, and loyalty, when schoolchildren see how those who are decorated with orders and medals, turned gray people cannot hold back their tears. They clearly see the strength of guerilla fraternity, partnership, not subject to any long separation or distance.

In 1965, on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Victory, the first Soviet television series directed by S. Kolosov “Calling Fire on Yourself” was released on the screens of the country according to the book of the same name by military intelligence officer and writer Ovidiy Gorchakov . The film was based on the history of the First Kletnyansky Partisan Brigade and the Seschinsko-Dubrovsky underground. The role of the brigade Fyodor in it was played by a young actor Alexander Lazarev . The whole country has learned about the legendary kombrig Fedor Danchenkov and his brave partisans- “danchas”

In 1982, Danchenkov took the initiative to make a documentary about the Bryansk partisans. In this he was helped by the famous Soviet documentary film maker, World War II participant Anatoly Alekseevich Slesarenko. In the history of Soviet documentary, he went by the name "The Ballad of the Forest Front." The shooting went on for almost two years. Their geography is impressive - Moscow, Mytishchi, Nizhny Novgorod, Bryansk, Dubrovsky District, Ukraine, Kazakhstan ... The former partisans remember Nikolay Inorov, Nikolai Ustinovich Borodinkin, the spouses of Zhamerichevs, Andrei Abramovich Pizhurin, Vladimir Fyodorovich Kurbatov about their experiences. The film was awaited in a wide distribution on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Great Victory. And here the blow fell: the officials from the cinematography film put on the shelf. It was done quietly, without loud official explanations. And that's why. In the early 80s. Anatoly Slesarenko was under fire. The apotheosis of it is published in the Literary Gazette on March 19, 1986, by the article by her correspondent Galina Silina “Man with a Suitcase”. The essence of the material: Slesarenko "is not the one for whom he claims to be." The author stated that he does not have front-line awards, and in the choice of themes for the paintings "absolutely uncontrollable." But that is not all! The correspondent made an incorrect attack on Danchenkov: “... F. S. Danchenkov acts as a consultant to many pictures of Slesarenko ... He liked himself to see himself on the screen. Assistant, he became faithful. The publication of this material by the veterans of the First Kletnyansky Partisan Brigade caused outrage. But it was not possible to save Slesarenko and "The Ballad of the Forest Front". At the time, such publications were placed on people, even famous ones, in bold cross. The film was never released. ” In April 1988, the Politizdat of Ukraine published a book of memoirs by F. S. Danchenkov “Special Assignment” . Upon his retirement, Danchenkov lived in Kiev. Until the last days, he was active in the patriotic education of youth [3] .

He died on May 8, 1989 in Kiev. He was buried at the Berkovets cemetery (Kiev).
