Biography
Born in the princely family of Major General Alexander Ivanovich Lobanov-Rostovsky from his marriage to Anna Nikiforovna Maslova. Born in St. Petersburg, baptized on September 2, 1788 in the Ascension Church, the godson of Prince A. B. Kurakin and his grandmother A. N. Maslova. His brothers are Princes Alexei , Ryazan Governor, Privy Councilor, Senator, and Boris , Voronezh leader of the nobility, chamberlain.
In service and class rank since 1802 with the appointment to the College of Foreign Affairs . Since 1809, a translator in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and in the MPP . In 1810 he was awarded the title of Junker Chamber of the Court of His Imperial Majesty . Since 1812 he was a member of the War Department .
Since 1822, Chief Prosecutor of the 4th, 3rd and 1st Departments of the Governing Senate . In 1823 he was promoted to full state councilor , in 1833 to privy councilor , and in 1853 to full privy councilor .
Since 1854, the honorary guardian of the Board of Trustees of the Institutions of the Empress Maria Feodorovna , an honorary member of the Imperial Moscow University . In 1863 he was awarded the title of Ober-Hofmeister of the Court of His Imperial Majesty . Honorary Guardian of the Nikolaev Orphanage Institute (1865-1868). He was awarded all Russian orders up to the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky with diamond signs granted to him on August 30, 1848.
Personal life
Wife (since February 1824) - Elizaveta Petrovna Kindyakova (1805-1854), one of the three daughters of the wealthy Major General Pyotr Vasilyevich Kindyakov and his wife Alexandra Vasilyevna. She was surrounded by Pushkin, was considered the first Moscow beauty and was called in society "The Forbidden Rose", by the name of a poem dedicated to her in 1826 by P. Vyazemsky , where the story of her unsuccessful marriage with Prince Lobanov-Rostovsky was outlined. In 1825, the couple actually broke up due to the physical shortage of the prince. Elizabeth Petrovna began an affair with V. A. Pashkov , the development of which was observed by all of Moscow. In 1828, by decision of the Synod, she received a divorce and became Pashkov's wife.
