The Hartron Research and Production Enterprise is a Ukrainian holding (the enterprises are located in Kharkov and Zaporozhye ) for the development, production and operation of automatic control systems for rocket and space technology. Included in the list of enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine [2] .

History
The company was founded in Kharkov in 1959 as OKB-692 (subsequently - Design Bureau of Electrical Instrumentation, or PO Box -67, Research and Production Association Elektropribor ) for the development, production and operation of automatic control systems for space-rocket complexes. A special design bureau (OKB-692, PO Box 67) for control systems for intercontinental missiles was then located on Zmievskoye Shosse (now Gagarin Avenue ).
In the USSR, the enterprise was one of the three leading companies that created control systems for rocket and space technology (including R-36M and UR-100N intercontinental ballistic missiles).
Launch vehicles with Hartron’s development management systems ( Cyclone , Energy, etc.) launched into orbit about 1,000 spacecraft of the Cosmos, Tselina, Okean, Koronas , Kupon series and other
The enterprise participated in the creation of control systems for the modules "Quant-1" , "Quant-2" , "Crystal" , "Spectrum" , "Nature" of the space complex "Mir" , automatic docking systems for the functional-cargo block "Zarya" of the international space stations ( ISS ).
After the creation of the National Space Agency of Ukraine , Khartron was transferred to the NSAU [1] .
Current status
Hartron is a holding company whose enterprises are located in Kharkov and Zaporozhye . Subsequently, Hartron-Arcos was formed from a number of main divisions of the KBE, which eventually turned to the entire main subject of the enterprise. Hartron-Arcos participates in Ukrainian, Russian and international space projects, creating new and modifying existing launch vehicle control systems to ensure commercial launches (Cyclone-4, Dnipro , Rokot , Strela complexes).
- Hartron Fire
On January 8, 2014 , a fire occurred in a five-story factory building owned by the plant and leased from Kharkov Jewelry Factory LLC. The fire covered the 4th and 5th floors of the building. Trying to escape from the fire, people jumped out of windows from 4 floors. 7 people were admitted to the city’s hospitals, one of them in serious condition [3] [4] . In addition, 8 people died as a result of the fire.
