The station is located on the non-electrified branch Chelyabinsk - Kyshtym - Verkhny Ufaley - Polevskoy - Yekaterinburg (the branch was built in 1896 and connected the Ural Railway with Samaro-Zlatoustovskaya ). It was developed in 1929 in connection with the construction of a large Chelyabinsk state district power station, from which it received its modern name. At the same time, the Power Station - Sergo-Ufaleyskaya railway line was built (a historical railway station serving Sergo-Ufaleysky mines of the Kopeisk coal-bearing region of the Chelyabinsk coal basin ) [4] [5] . In 1933, the Potanino -Power Station railway line was launched [6] .
