Biography
Boris Pavlovich Apollonov was born in 1890 [1] .
Boris Apollonov is a student of Professor O. A. Karnitsky. In the period from 1931 to 1933, he served as head of the Department of Childhood Diseases No. 3 of Rostov State Medical University [2] .
Later, Boris Apollonov moved from Rostov-on-Don to the city of Ivanovo , Ivanovo Region , and in 1935 he began to head three pediatric departments that were located on Ermak Street. He also served as dean of the faculty [5] . Boris Apollonov is the founder of the first department of childhood diseases at the Ivanovo Medical Institute [3] .
One of his students was Associate Professor Nonna Alekseevna Lavrishcheva. At the institute, he lectured on optional pediatrics, propaedeutics, hospital pediatrics. He was distinguished by punctuality and exactingness. He conducted seminars with clinical residents, during which theoretical knowledge was intertwined with good practical training [5] .
He was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor [5] .
From 1937 to 1947 he was dean of the pediatric faculty of the Ivanovo-Ascension Medical Institute [1] .
He died on June 12, 1961 in his office, after holding a medical conference. All residents of the city came to say goodbye to him [5] .
