After that, on October 19, 1925 , the Central Executive Committee of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic adopted the draft state emblem and flag of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .
On January 6, 1938 , at the 7th extraordinary congress of the Soviets of the Moldavian ASSR , the second Moldovan Constitution was adopted, and the flag was described as follows:
| Article 112. The state flag of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic is the state flag of the Ukrainian SSR, consisting of a red cloth, in the left corner of which, at the top of the shaft, are placed the golden sickle and hammer and the letters "URSR" in Ukrainian and Moldavian, with the addition " URSR "letters of smaller size of the inscription" Moldavska ARSR "in Ukrainian and Moldavian languages. |
The "Moldavian" text was written using the Latin alphabet. A few months later in the same year, the flag changed because the “Moldovan” names were written using Cyrillic.
The flag fell out of use on 2 August 1940 , when the Moldavian ASSR was abolished and its territory was divided between the newly created Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic .
