South Market (Pivdenny, Ukrainian Pivdenny ) is the largest shopping complex in Lviv ( Ukraine ). Located in the southern part of the city, near Sknilovsky Park
The market was founded by Peter Pisarchuk in 1996 . The market area has since expanded significantly; 10 shopping malls, supermarkets, a food market, a hotel, parking lots, a church were built. On the territory of the market there are about two thousand shops, a medical center, a sports complex and a fitness center, notary, banking and postal services are provided, restaurants and numerous cafes are open.
According to the market administration, from 15 to 30 thousand people visit it daily.
In the first half of 2007 , the Southern Market was the second largest market levy delivered to the city budget after Krakowski [1] .
