The main settlements of the volost [1] :
- Olshanaya - the former state settlement near the Olshanoy river 20 versts from the county town Kupyansk. In the settlement there is a volost government, 387 yards, 2428 residents, an Orthodox church, a school, 2 inns, 2 shops.
- Vladimirovka is a former owner's settlement. The settlement has 47 courtyards, 294 residents, an Orthodox church.
- Mironosovka is a former owner's village, 98 yards, 615 inhabitants.
- Tavolzhanka - a former state farm, 170 households, 1067 inhabitants.
