Biography
After graduating from high school, Heinrich Hildebrand studied medicine at the University of Marburg. On October 22, 1884, he, the fourth in his family, joined the Corps Hasso-Nassovia Marburg student fraternity; three times became the deputy head (Vize-Senior) of this organization. In 1889, he became a state exam and went as a volunteer to the Marburg Ophthalmology Hospital; After that, he became a medical assistant at the Hagen Eye Clinic. After receiving a Ph.D., Hildebrand became a general practitioner in Marburg. In 1894, after passing the corresponding exam (Physikatsexamen), he became a district surgeon (Kreiswundarzt).
In 1897, Hildebrand became an assistant at the Marburger Anatomischen Sammlung. Since 1900, he was an assistant at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf , and in 1901 he became a forensic physician. In 1902, he received the post of extraordinary professor of forensic medicine at the University of Marburg. During the First World War , from 1914 to 1917, Hildebrand was the chief physician of the emergency hospital. In 1922, he became a full professor and director of the Forensic Institute, and since 1929 he headed the school of medical laboratory assistants (Medizinisch-technischer Assistent). On November 11, 1933, Heinrich Hildebrand was among the more than 900 scholars and professors at German universities and universities who signed the " Statement of Professors Supporting Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist State ." In 1934 he retired. In addition, from 1906 to 1938, Hildebrand served as chairman of the Corps Hasso-Nassovia Association of Former Members.

In 1901, Heinrich Hildebrand married Frieda Fürst from Transylvania : the family had two daughters and a son.
