Irtysh (before 1963 - Zverosovkhoz ) - a village in the Tobolsk district of the Tyumen region of Russia , the administrative center of the Irtysh rural settlement [2] .

Content
Geographical position
Located on the right bank of the Irtysh River , 7 km from the regional center . To the east of the village is the federal highway P404 ( Tyumen - Tobolsk - Khanty-Mansiysk ).
History
In 1963, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, the village of Zverosovkhoz of the Tobolsk rural area was renamed to Irtysh [3] .

Attractions
On the territory of Irtysh is located the John Vvedensky Monastery , founded in 1653 [4] .
In the vicinity of the village there are archaeological sites of Ivanovo Kurgan (first noted in the XVIII century by I.P. Falk ) [5] .
In 2018, a new mosque was opened [6] .
