French Gymnasium No. 16 is a Russian municipal budgetary educational institution with in-depth study of the French language , located on Parkhomenko Street in the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk . It was founded in 1932.

Content
History
In 1932, a first-level elementary school was opened in Novosibirsk, O. Vikhreva became the first leader.
In 1936, the institution was given the status of a secondary school, the educational institution moved to a new building.
In 1968, an order was issued by the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR to reorganize the school - the educational institution became a school with in-depth study of the French language.
In 2002, an additional school building was built, it housed an assembly and sports halls, as well as laboratories.
Information and Documentation Center
The gymnasium's information and documentation center has unique educational and methodological audio-visual aids transmitted by the French Embassy in Russia .
International Relations
Relations with French Institutions
The gymnasium has twin cities with some educational institutions in France: the college of Francois Truffaut ( L'Ile-d'Abo ) and the Lyceum of Joan of Arc ( Clermont-Ferrand ).
Participation in international competitions
The gymnasium participates in the international competition βLa jeunesse et la merβ, which is organized by the P. Ricard Institute of Oceanography.
Correspondence
The educational institution maintains contact with France through correspondence: with Brigadier General Risso (veteran of the Normandie-Niemen regiment), educational institutions of the Isère department and the Embassy of France.
