Population
According to the 2011 census, 1,661 people lived in the commune, 81.99% of whom were Romanians and 15.29% were gypsies.
Attractions
- Scarisoara Cave was originally located on the territory of the commune (and got its name from it), however, after changing the administrative division, it turned out to be on the territory of the commune of Gyrda de Sus
- Keile Mindrutsiului Protected Area
