Biography
Ryabchikov Alexander Ilyich was born on June 15, 1950 in the city of Rubtsovsk, Altai Territory. In 1967 he graduated from school number 6 of the city of Rubtsovsk. He continued his studies at the institute. In 1973 he graduated from the Electrophysical Department of the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Physical Electronics. In 1975-1978 he studied at the graduate school of the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrophysical Installations and Accelerators. In 1978 he defended his thesis on "Research and development of methods for controlling the motion path of high-current relativistic electron beams."
He began to work after graduation, worked at the Altai Tractor Plant as a milling machine operator (1967-1968). After graduation, he worked at the Research Institute of Nuclear Physics. Since 1973, he successively held the positions of an engineer, senior engineer, junior research assistant, senior research assistant, laboratory head, and deputy director for scientific work at the research institute. In 1997-2008, he worked as director of the Research Institute of Nuclear Physics at Tomsk Polytechnic University.
In 1994 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Pulse-periodic multi-functional ion sources based on a vacuum arc and non-traditional methods of ion-beam, ion-plasma processing of materials." He received a doctorate in physico-mathematical sciences and the title of professor.
The supervisor and mentor of Alexander Ilyich was a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences and RAS Andrei Nikolaevich Didenko.
Research interests: ion implantation, physics of charged particle beams, plasma coating deposition methods, accelerator technology.
Ryabchikov Alexander Ilyich has 42 patents for inventions, is the author of about 260 scientific works, under his leadership at the institute 4 candidate and 4 doctoral dissertations were prepared and defended.
