Biography
Born on August 6, 1868 in the family of General Peter Vasilyevich Zalessky , a native of the nobility of the Kherson province , who lived at 13 Vozdvizhenka Street. per. , 13).
He worked in the Urals, was in charge of the Main Chemical Laboratory and the Geological Department of the Nizhny Tagil and Lunyevsky Plants, then managed the Vyisky Copper Plant in the 90s, at least 1900 inclusive. Supervised overhaul of the plant and the installation of new furnaces and blower devices, as a result of which the plant sharply increased its productivity from 51 thousand pounds in 1890 to 135.4 thousand in 1901. He taught metallurgy at the Nizhny Tagil Mining School , was deputy chairman of the Nizhnetagilsky Committee of the Red Cross.
After the revolution - in Moscow, he taught at the Moscow Mining Academy at the Department of Other Metals (until 1925) and the Moscow Technical University.
He died on March 12, 1929. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery .
