Biography
Born in St. Petersburg . In the ranks of the Red Army since 1922.
He graduated from the 2nd Leningrad Artillery School of the Red Army (1925), the Artillery Academy named after F.E.Dzerzhinsky (1933).
In 1925-1929 - platoon commander, course commander of the 2nd Leningrad Artillery School. Since 1933, at the F.E.Dzerzhinsky Artillery Academy: lecturer, senior lecturer, head of the department of ground artillery firing. Since April 1941, the commander of the artillery regiment.
In World War II, the chief of artillery of the rifle brigade (March 1942 - April 1943), the commander of the artillery of the rifle division (April-August 1943), the rifle corps (August 1943 - July 1944), the deputy commander of the artillery of the army (August 1943 - July 1944).
Since October 1944, again on teaching at the F.E.Dzerzhinsky Artillery Academy: senior lecturer, deputy head of the department (1945-1946), head of the department (1946-1953). In 1953-58 he was the head of the department of the Military Artillery Command Academy (later named after M.I. Kalinin). Since 1958, the head of the Research Institute, since 1961, deputy, and then a consultant to the head of the Military Artillery Academy.
Author and leader of a number of military scientific works on the theory of shooting and fire control of ground artillery. As a result of research and generalization of the experience of the Great Patriotic War, he made a great contribution to the development of problems of the theory of shooting, evaluating the effectiveness of target destruction, new methods and methods for preparing and controlling fire of several divisions (artillery group) and artillery of a compound (association). Under his leadership, the fundamental work "Theory of Ground Artillery Shooting," widely used in the practice of combat training of artillery, was prepared.
He died on March 22, 1965 in Leningrad.
