Union of Ukrainians of Transnistria

The Union of Ukrainians of Transnistria named after A. N. Buta [1] is the largest organization of Ukrainians in Transnistria , which arose in 1991 . It was created by three national societies from Kamenka , Tiraspol and Bender . Now the union has more than 30,000 members. The chairman is Leonid Tkachuk [2] .

As of 2011, the subordination of the union are the regional societies of Ukrainian culture: Kamenskoye im. T. Shevchenko (Stasishen V.P.), Rybnitsky “Podillia” (Palanik B.T.), Dubossarsky “Ray” (Oleinik S.V.), Grigoriopolsky “Stozhary” (Bogutsky P.P.), Slobodzeysky (Yakimenko P.I.).
