Tern Trudeau [1] ( Sterna trudeaui ) is a type of tern . Distributed in Argentina , in the south-east of Brazil , in Chile , Paraguay [2] and Uruguay, sometimes recorded on the Falkland Islands . The species was first described by the American naturalist Audubon and named after his friend Dr. James de Bertie Trudeau (1817–1887) from Louisiana [3] , who sent him birds he discovered in Great Egg Harbor Bay, New Jersey [4] , for description.

The body length is up to 41 cm. In adults, the body is slender and of medium size. The legs are orange-yellow. A cry is a quick, repetitive sound of a "live-life" or a rough "ride" [3] [5] .
