Biography
Artashin played for Strela Kazan club [1] , having won several Russian rugby league titles (rugby 13). He is known for playing for the USSR youth rugby team and for the Russian rugby team, in which he played at the World Cup in 2000. At the end of his playing career, he was the organizer of various children's, junior and veteran tournaments in rugby 7, rugby league and beach rugby, and also judged matches at these tournaments [2] . In 2013, he was a judge at the games of the 2013 Summer Universiade [3] . Master of Sports of Russia (2003). Member of a number of veteran tournaments [4] .
The ex-wife of Vyacheslav Ellin Skvortsova and their daughter Daria tragically died in a plane crash in Kazan on November 17, 2013 [5] [6] , which was a shock for Artashin. May 22, 2014 he died of a heart attack, unable to withstand the consequences of the tragedy. He was buried on May 24 at the Samosyrovo cemetery [3] .
Vyacheslav Artashin named the prize that is awarded at one of the junior rugby-7 tournaments in the Volga Federal District: in 2015, his brother Vyacheslav Sergey handed it to the winners [7] .
