Story

Development
This is an optimistic view of how the loss of one friend becomes an incentive for the other seven to start living at last, give him and himself a promise to be honest with each other ... On August 18, 2017, ABC ordered the script for the pilot episode of the Million Little Things series from Pi Jay Nash, who also became the project's executive producer along with Aaron Kaplan and Dana Onor. In terms of mood, the series was compared to the film " Great Disappointment "; the name comes from the proverb “Friendship is not one big thing, it's a million little things ” ( Eng. Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things ) [3] . Nash got the idea of the series after filming the pilot of the comedy series Losing It . He said that "sometimes in a comedy you have to apologize for adding drama, so I am delighted that ABC wants to add comedy to the drama" [3] . ABC officially ordered the filming of the pilot episode in January 2018 [4] , and on May 9, 2018, the series was officially ordered for the first season [5] . The series is produced by ABC Studios and Kapital Entertainment [5] .
Casting
On February 6, 2018, David Gintoli got the role of Eddie [6] . A week later, Romani Malko joined the project in the role of Roma [7] . By the end of the month, the cast was supplemented by Christina Ochoa as Ashley [8] , Anne Son as Katherine [9] , Christina Moses as Regina Howard [10] and James Rodey as Gary [11] . In early March 2018, Stephanie Shostak got the role of Delaila [12] , Lizzie Green - the role of Sophie Dixon [13] , and Allison Miller - the role of Maggie [14] . In the same month, it became known that Ron Livingston got a role in the series [15] , and when ordering the series for the first season in May 2018, it became known that his character was named John [5] . The role of Katherine, which performed the Dream in a pilot episode, was announced rekast [16] .
Filming
The shooting of the pilot episode took place from March 12 to 29, 2018 [17] in Vancouver , British Columbia [18] .
