Biography
Born on June 4, 1965 in Baku. In 1972 he entered the first grade of school No. 42, where he studied until the eighth grade, in 1979 he entered the military school named after Nakhichevan. Rovshan completed his education in 1982 and entered the service. In 1987 he was sent to Afghanistan , and the next year he returned to the Transcaucasian Military District , and in 1989 he was appointed division commander. In 1993-1995 he was the commander of a military unit. [one]
Rovshan Akperov took part in the suppression of the rebellion of the Azerbaijani OPON in March 1995. [2] In 2002, received the rank of lieutenant general. In 2011, he was appointed commander of the Shamkir Corps of the NAA .
Marital Status
Married, four children.
Rewards
He was twice awarded the Order of the Azerbaijan Banner (December 14, 1993 and April 4, 1995) for the difference in protecting and maintaining the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. On October 5, 1994, Rovshan Akperov was granted the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan by presidential decree. On June 24, 2003 he was awarded the medal “For the Fatherland” , and on June 25, 2011 - the order “For Service to the Fatherland” .
