Registered Domain Requirements
Domains registered in the .pk domain zone must comply with the requirements imposed by the registrar on the second, third level domains. [four]
- The maximum name length is no more than 63 characters (excluding the pk domain), the total maximum length is no more than 67 characters, including the .pk domain and www prefix in front of the name. [one]
- The minimum name length is at least 4 characters. [one]
- Registration of a level 3 domain consisting of one character is allowed ( a.com.pk, z.org.pk , etc.).
- It is not allowed to register short domain names (4 characters), consisting mainly of 3 level domains ( coms.pk, comm.pk, nets.pk, net2.pk, govs.pk , etc.). [one]
- It is forbidden to register reserved second-level domains.
- It is forbidden to register 3 level domains formed by a combination of characters that form reserved names - pk, com, net, org, gov, fm, biz, web, edu, gog, gob, gop, gps, gok, gkp ( pk.com.pk, net.com.pk, com.com.pk, gov.com.pk , etc.).
- The domain name cannot begin with a dash ( -, - ).
- A domain name cannot contain a sequence of two dashes in a row ( - -, - -, - -, - - ).
