History

The existing metal bridge was built in 1939 to replace the wooden one. In 1998–2000, the bridge was repaired: metal beams of a span structure damaged by corrosion were replaced, the upper structure was replaced with a new waterproofing device [4] .

Design

The bridge is a single-span metal beam-split system. The span consists of metal I-beams of constant height. The abutments of monolithic reinforced concrete on a pile foundation are faced with granite. The total length of the bridge is 14.3 m, the width of the bridge is 9.3 m [4] .

The bridge is designed for traffic and pedestrians. The carriageway of the bridge includes 1 lane for the movement of vehicles. The covering of the roadway and sidewalks is asphalt concrete. The sidewalks are separated from the roadway by a granite parapet. A metal railing is installed on the bridge, repeating the pattern of the railing of the embankment of the river. Fontanka, on foundations ends with granite parapets.
