Activities
In January 2001, the “Going Together” youth organization held its first action, “Funeral of the Problems of the 20th Century,” in Moscow. May 7, 2001, on the anniversary of the inauguration of Vladimir Putin to the presidency of Russia , "Going Together" held a mass rally (10-15 thousand people) in Moscow. The participants were dressed in blue, white and red T-shirts with the image of Vladimir Putin with the slogan "All the Way."
On November 7, 2001, the movement held a large-scale campaign, “General Cleaning of Russia,” which took place in all regions where the “Walking Together” branch was located [4] .
In January 2002, the organization held an action to exchange harmful, in their opinion, books by writers Vladimir Sorokin , Victor Pelevin , Victor Erofeev and Karl Marx to return to their "bad" authors. After the action "Going Together" they accused the writers Bayan Shiryanov and Vladimir Sorokin of promoting pornography and drugs. In the autumn of this year, activists of the movement near their headquarters built a large toilet , where they publicly threw the books they collected several times, and then burned them [5] [6] .
In February 2003, "Walking Together" hung a huge poster on the Moscow Hotel , dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Communist Party , where oligarch Boris Berezovsky was on a par with Gennady Zyuganov .
In August 2004, in Rostov-on-Don, in front of the courthouse, pickets were held against Russian singer Philip Kirkorov demanding “Convict Filka” for his immoral behavior at a press conference [7] .
On September 23, 2005, more than 100 members of the organization outside the embassy of Latvia held an unauthorized picket called “Birch to their Homeland” demanding the extradition of Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky to Russia [8] .
Criticism
On October 17, 2004, a group of 30 members of “Walking Together” brought to the St. Petersburg branch of Yabloko a “parcel from Kiev”: an orange box with apples painted in orange. The head of the department commented on this action: “This action is a waste and stupid waste of Mr. Surkov’s money. It would be much more useful to give apples and paint to the orphanage - they are needed there, ”and in return they gathered to bring them“ a big impromptu ass with the inscription “Power“ ”. Also, the press service of the St. Petersburg "Yabloko" called "Walking Together" Putin’s nugend [9] .
Reorganization into Nashi
From 2000 to 2005 - the central headquarters of the organization was located in Moscow, on Denisovsky Lane , d. 23, p. 6 [10] .
April 15, 2005 in the concert hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences against the background of Russian flags, portraits of Yuri Gagarin with a club and red and white banners, the constituent congress of the youth democratic anti-fascist movement Nashi took place under the leadership of Vasily Yakemenko , at which he resigned as the leader of the organization Going Together and led the movement "Ours".
In the period from 2005 to 2007, Pavel Tarakanov was elected the new chairman of the Walking Together public organization, whose members joined the Nashi movement [11] .
On the night of June 21-22, 2007, the Goers held their last annual mass action, “They are obliged to remember 2007,” dedicated to the Great Patriotic War [12] .
