Geography
The village is located on the border with the Chuvash Republic , 28 kilometers north-west of the city of Buinsk .
History
The village is known from the period of the Kazan Khanate .
In the XVIII - first half of the XIX centuries, the inhabitants belonged to the category of state peasants . Engaged in farming, cattle breeding. According to 1859, there was a mosque in Atabay-Ankeb.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Mekteb , watermills and windmills, a manufactory and 4 small shops functioned here. During this period, the land plot of the rural community was 475 acres.
