Biography

Tatyana Semenovna Rudichenko was born on January 12, 1950. In 1974 she graduated from the faculty of theoretical composition at the Rostov State Conservatory named after S. V. Rakhmaninov in the class of A. S. Kabanov, receiving a specialty in history and theory of music. In 1981 she graduated from the graduate school of the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in the class of teacher B. B. Efimenkova. In 1995 she defended her thesis on the theme: "The singing tradition of the Don Cossacks: the problem of identity" (Rostov State Conservatory). In 2005 she defended her doctoral thesis on the theme: “Don Cossack song in historical development” [1] .

Since 1973, he has been working at the Rostov Conservatoire consecutively in the following positions: Lecturer at the Department of Theory of Music (1974-1975), History of Music (1975); Associate Professor (1995), Professor, Department of Music History, RGC (2005).

At the conservatory lectures: "Folk music creativity", "Actual problems of musicology", "History of Russian music", "Non-European musical culture." Under the guidance of Tatyana Semenovna Rudichenko, seven Ph.D. theses and one doctoral thesis on the musical folklore of Russians, peoples of the North Caucasus and Dagestan, on the history of musical culture were prepared and defended.

Research interests: history of national musical culture, ethnomusicology, ethnography. Tatyana Semenovna Rudichenko is the author of about 130 scientific works, including six monographs.

Since 1972, she has been a member of folk-ethnographic expeditions to Stavropol Territory, Volgograd, Rostov Region, Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea, etc. Tatyana Semenovna prepared and conducted about 30 radio programs devoted to folk culture, engaged in the creation of documentaries: Azure Flowers (1991) , “To Starocherkasskaya for a holiday” (1988), “Semikarakorsky faience” (1992), “Sholokhov spring” (1999), “Portrait of a chieftain in historical scenery” (1997).
