Maria Isabel Perez Cerezo ( Dutch: María Isabel Pérez Cerezo ; Nerpelt, January 29, 1976) is a Spanish singer who performs under the pseudonym Bel Perez. Despite the fact that she was born and lives in Belgium , she only has Spanish citizenship, because her parents are Spaniards.

The singer’s Spanish roots are expressed in her music because she mainly releases fun music. The Flemish-Latin American diva is very popular in the Netherlands , in Flanders and Germany . She became famous thanks to the Spanish song: Que viva la vida , which in Benelux became the soundtrack to the cartoon " Madagascar ".

Career
The first steps on the stage were made by her in early childhood. Belle sang in groups that played flamenco and participated in competitions for young performers. When she was 21, she discovered her talent for music at a local show of participants in 1997. In 2000, she participated in the Belgian Eurosong program, which is the Eurovision qualifying round. She released the song Hello World.
She made two unsuccessful attempts to get into the competition, but her solo career went uphill. After her first performance with Honeybee , she was spotted by the Flemish Belgian VTM channel. In 2000, Belle married Mario Winters and divorced in 2008. On June 16, 2016, a Belgian-Spanish singer married Wouter Van Der Horst . At the end of December 2016, U Perez was born the son of Elia.
