Igor Valerievich Mashechkin (born 1956) is a mathematician , doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, head of the department of intellectual information technologies at the faculty of the VMC of MSU .

Biography
He graduated from high school number 52 with in-depth study of mathematics (1973). He graduated from the faculty of the VMC MSU (1978) [1] .
He defended his thesis "Resource budgeting in remote access systems" for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (1981).
He defended his thesis "Multifunctional cross-programming system" for the degree of doctor of physical and mathematical sciences (1996) [2] .
He received the title of professor (2000).
Since 1978 he has been working at Moscow University in the following positions: engineer (1978β1982), assistant (1982β1989), associate professor (1989β1999), professor (since 1999) in the department of automation of computer systems at the faculty of the VMC. Head of the Laboratory of Technology Programming Faculty (since 2001). Deputy Dean of the Faculty (1988-1990) [3] .
Area of ββscientific interests: development of software systems based on the use of data mining methods.
Author of 8 books and more than 100 scientific and educational works [4] [5] . He prepared 5 candidates of physical and mathematical sciences.
Awarded the Gold Medal of the USSR Academy of Sciences for the best work of young scientists (1984). Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation (2006) [3] .
