Geography

Length - 15 [1] km. The catchment area is 818 km². The river bed (water mark) in the middle course (Kamen village) is located at an altitude of 124.8 m above sea level.

The channel is very winding, with a width of 80 m and a depth of 4 m (the upper course is 16 and 2.5, respectively), with many turns and bays. The channel is connected by many streams with lakes, mainly in the interfluve of the Desenki and Desna rivers.

The river originates, branching off from the main channel of the Desna, northeast of the village of Kamen ( Novgorod-Seversky district ). The river flows south, mainly serves as the administrative border and flows through the Sumy region. It flows into the Desna (at the 556th km from its mouth) north of the village of Ochkino ( Seredino-Budsky district ).

The floodplain is occupied by forests (tract Ochkinskaya Dacha, pine domination, left bank) and wetlands with meadows. The left-bank valley and two banks in the lower reaches are part of the Desnyansk-Starogutsky national natural park.
