Biography

Born October 13, 1907 in Polotsk. In 1930 he entered the Moscow State Library , which he graduated in 1935, and shortly before that, from 1926 to 1930 he worked in one of the largest libraries in Minsk, and the administration advised him to conquer Moscow. From 1935 to 1948 he worked in large libraries in Moscow, at the same time in 1937 he worked at the Moscow State Library. In 1941 he was mobilized into the army in connection with the beginning of the Second World War and sent to the front and went through the whole war. In 1948 he returned to the MGBI on an ongoing basis, where he held the positions of assistant professor and professor until 1987, after which he retired.

Died March 3, 1992 in Moscow.

Scientific work

The main scientific works are devoted to library science. He is the author of a number of scientific works, some of which have been published on the pages of many domestic and foreign journals and collections devoted to library science.
