Biography

Vladimir Klenov was born on January 19, 1932 in Rostov-on-Don . In 1947 he became a student at the Rostov Art College . His teacher there was T.P. Semenov. He completed his studies in 1952. in 1953 he entered the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov , studied with D. D. Mochalsky [1] [3] .

In 1957, he began to take part in zonal, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions [1] . He completed his studies at the institute in 1959 [1] .

After graduation, he became a teacher at the Rostov Art College. M. B. Grekova, and worked there until 1961. In 1963 he became a member of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. In 1973, the first solo exhibition was held in Rostov-on-Don. The next - in Rostov-on-Don - was held in 1982. In 1978, an exhibition was opened in Volgodonsk [1] . From 1974 to 1978 he taught at the Rostov State Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. He began to teach again at the Rostov Art College in 1980-1981 [1] .

In 1989, he wrote the work β€œMirror. I’ll be back, mom. ” [1] In 2002, another personal exhibition was opened in Rostov-on-Don [1] . In 2004, he was awarded the title of β€œ Honored Artist of the Russian Federation ” [1] [2] .

The subject of his work is the history of the Don and World War II [1] .

In 2008, Vladimir Klenov celebrated his 76th birthday [4] .
