Biography

Oksana Begma was born in 1973 in Rostov-on-Don. From the age of three, she went to plein airs, which her father spent - a teacher at an art school - together with his students on the island of Valaam , where they painted landscapes [1] .

After graduation, she entered the Rostov Art College, one of her teachers there was her father - Vladimir Begma . When he and his classmates were in their first year, he drove them to draw sketches in the Soldier’s settlement - the historical part of Rostov-on-Don [1] .

A graduate of the Rostov Art College. Grekova , graduated with honors.

Since 1988 - participant of city, republican, zonal and international exhibitions.

In 1995 she graduated from the art and graphic department of the Rostov State Pedagogical University (RSUH) [1] .

Since 1995, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Association of Fine Arts - UNESCO AIAP [1] .

In 2002, it was included in the unified rating of Russian artists [1] .

Rostov landscapes - a theme that has attracted O. Begma for many years. The old Rostov has always been and remains a favorite model for the artist. Capturing places well known to all Rostovites or familiar to only a small number of them, Oksana seeks to preserve for the future the appearance of her small homeland, [1] rapidly changing under the onslaught of the modern dynamic world.

Another series of works, or rather, the stylistic direction of O. Begma’s creative work, is “Sketches”, oil paintings on canvas. At first glance, these paintings may seem like a sketch, a blank, which has yet to turn into a painting. But in reality they are complete statements: the emptiness of an untouched canvas invites the viewer to complete the work in his imagination, thereby becoming a co-author of the artist.

In 2005 she became a scholarship holder of the State Presidential Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation . In March 2009, an exhibition of works by Oksana Begma “Dreams and Reality” was held in the Don Public Library [2] .
