Biography

Born in Manchester . In the seasons 1911/12 and 1912/13 he played for the Scottish club St. Mirren . Spent 25 matches for the team.

After the war, became a player at Manchester United . In October 1919, he signed a professional contract with the club [2] . Debuted for the club on April 17, 1920 in a match against Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford Stadium; the game ended in a draw 1: 1 [3] [4] . A week later he played his second (and last) official match for United, again against Blackburn, but already at Yewood Park Stadium. This time, the defense of United, in which Williamson played, was unsuccessful: Blackburn scored five unanswered goals against Jack Mew [5] . After that, Williamson did not play for the basic structure of United. In May 1921, he moved to Bury .

In the 1921/22 season, he played 12 matches for Bury in the Second Division . In the 1922/23 season, he played for the Kru Alexandra club in the Third Northern Division , playing 15 matches and scoring 2 goals.
