Song Information
On January 22, 2018, it was announced that Rasmussen was one of ten participants in the selection of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2018 with the song “Higher Ground”. The winner was selected using a combination of voting by the audience and a jury of five.
In an interview [3], Rasmussen stated that the theme of the song is attempts to resolve conflicts in a peaceful way without violence, and that it is a message about peace [3] . Then he explained that the song was written under the impression of the legend of Magnus Orkney [3] [4] .
