Content
Biography
In 1961 he graduated from KazSU (now KazNU. Al-Farabi). In 1961–1999 (until his death) he worked at the Kazakh Institute of Nuclear Physics : in 1961–1987, he was a senior laboratory technician, engineer, junior researcher, scientific secretary, and head of laboratory at the Institute of Nuclear Physics; 1987–1999 - Director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan [1] .
In 1968 he defended his thesis on the topic "Study of the temperature dependence of the parameters of the Mössbauer spectra of some iron compounds" [2] . In 1983 he defended his doctoral thesis [3] .
Family
Father - Kuangali Zhetbaevich Zhetbaev, mother - Agzina Ilyasovna Zhetbaeva, first wife - Maria Petrova Vorobyeva (married since January 1, 1963, died in November 1986), second wife - Zamzagul Talasbayeva. Children - Sholpan and Alnur Zhetbaev [3] .
Scientific Activities
The main scientific works and inventions lie in the field of nuclear gamma-resonance spectroscopy of radiation phenomena in solids, neutron diffraction and neutron radiography.
Author of more than 200 articles in scientific journals [3] .
