Club career
Mera began his career at the Manta Club from his hometown. In 2000, he made his debut for a team in one of the lower divisions of Ecuador. In 2002, Efren helped the club reach Ecuadorian Primera , but a year later, the team again flew out. In 2005, for Mer, on a rental basis, he advocated for Loch's LDU . In early 2012, Efren joined Emelek on a rental basis . On March 18, in a match against Tekniko Universitario , he made his debut for a new team [2] . In the same match, Mera scored his first goal for Emelek. After the lease expired, he returned to Mantu. At the beginning of 2015, Mera moved to the Universidad Catholic from Quito. On January 31, in his match against Independiente del Valle, he made his debut for a new team [3] . On February 7, in a duel against Deportivo Cuenca , Efren scored his first goal for Universidad Catholic [4] .
In early 2016, Mera moved to Dolphin . On February 7, in a match against LDO Quito, he made his debut for a new club [5] . On September 25, in a duel against El Nacional , Efren scored his first goal for Dolphin [6] .
At the end of the season, Mera left Dolphin and signed an agreement with Independiente del Valle . On February 14, in his match against Guayaquil City , he made his debut for a new team [7] . On March 18, in a duel against his former club Universidad Catolica, Efren scored his first goal for the Independente del Valle. [8]
