Biography
From the nobility of the Minsk province . He entered the service in 1829 as a non-commissioned officer of the Lithuanian Life Guards Regiment . In 1830, a participant in the suppression of the Polish uprising . In 1832 he was promoted to lieutenant and lieutenant guard. Since 1845, he was transferred to the 1st Infantry Regiment as a lieutenant colonel in Nevsky .
Since 1849, he was appointed commander of the 24th Simbirsk Infantry Regiment , and at the head of the regiment this year took part in the Hungarian company . In 1850 he was promoted to colonel . Since 1854, together with his regiment, he participated in the Crimean War , was in Moldova , Bessarabia and the Crimea , was in a battle at the Chernaya River in the defense of Sevastopol .
In 1855 he was awarded the Golden Arms “For Courage” :

Since 1861 he was promoted to major general with the appointment of assistant chief of the 4th Infantry Division . Since 1863, he was appointed general for special assignments under the Viceroy of the Kingdom of Poland, Count F. F. Berg, and at the same time chairman of the Special Investigation Commission for Political Affairs in the Kingdom of Poland . In the same year he participated in the Polish company , was the commander of the troops of the Castle side of the city of Warsaw .
Since 1867 he was appointed Warsaw commandant . In 1869 he was promoted to lieutenant general . In 1882 he was awarded the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky . In 1883 he was promoted to general from infantry .
