General Information

The village of Dolgorukovo stands on the banks of the Snovy River; a significant part of the territory is located on the left bank.

It arose no later than the beginning of the XVIII century . It was called Brotherhood .

When laying the railway line in 1896, the station was named after the former owners of the village - Dolgorukovo . The same name was assigned to the village, although the southern part of Dolgorukov is still called the Brotherhood.

In the territory of Bratovschina , a “memorial place” was preserved on the site of the Bykhanov estate (house and garden), where the outstanding seventeen years of life was spent by the outstanding Russian scientist E. V. Bykhanov . Today it is protected by the state as   monument of architecture (regional) . In addition, the Dolgorukovo Museum-Estate is located in Dolgorukovo [1] - a branch of the Lipetsk Regional Museum of Local Lore .

Three villages adjoin Dolgorukov, with which the district center forms virtually a single settlement - the villages of Ilyinka , Ekaterinovka and Ivanovka . 2 km west of Dolgorukov is the village of Timiryazevsky .
